Burning Permits

ALL residents of Ingersoll Township needing a burning permit should Call 1-866-922-BURN or by internet at: www.michigan.gov/burnpermit. Callers will be given a permit number to write down and an Internet option allows anyone interested in a permit to input their information and print out a copy of their burn permit. You will be asked for your name, address, township, telephone number and the material to be burned.State Law requires a permit for any open burning when the ground is not snow covered.
