Midland Landfill – 4315 Ashman Street (989) 839-9577

Hours for the Midland City Landfill are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturdays (March through November), 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Township residents are allowed to take one trailer load, maximum of 3 cubic yards, to the Midland Landfill FREE each month. The load may consist of yard waste, regular household waste, one appliance, and demolition or construction material. No tires or liquids are accepted. Fee for dumping construction material beyond the 3 cubic yard load is $10.00/yard and $5.50/yard for other materials.

Waste Management became the Township’s solid waste collector as of January 1, 2009. The solid waste collection day has changed to Tuesday of each week for all residences. Recycle Bins

First bin is free for new homeowners. Additional bins are available for $10 each by contacting Norm or Beth Northrup at (989) 835-4445.

Township Landfill

Landfill is open on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. from the second Saturday in April until the last Saturday in October. Other times by calling Township Clerk at 695-5200. Township landfill is located on Kent Road (1/2 mile West of Sasse Road). Brush, trees, stumps and lawn clippings are accepted. No tires or building materials are accepted.
